Tim Abshire is well respected as an actor’s director, whether it be celebrity icon or first time actor. He has worked with numerous personalities as diverse as Drew Barrymore, Chris Rock, Derek Jeter, and Dave Grohl.
Tim’s true talent lies in comedic storytelling and developing relatable characters, while seamlessly integrating them into the identity of each brand. As a relentless observer of human behavior, Tim celebrates the unique characteristics of each situation and guides them into stories that are amazingly fun to watch.
Tim started his career at MTV in the On-Air Promos department in New York City. Empowered by the freedom to be a director, writer, art director and creative director for ads on all of the major shows on the channel, Tim won both the coveted Gold Cube and Gold Pencil awards for directing MTV Video Music Awards commercials featuring Ben Stiller, Marilyn Manson and the Wu Tang Clan.
Soon after, Tim jumped headfirst into the world of commercial advertising. Traveling the world to hone his craft, he created and directed content for hundreds of brands including Google, Jeep, ESPN, Walmart, Playstation, Febreze, Volkswagen, Coca Cola and jetBlue, with top agencies domestically and internationally, such as Grey Worldwide, Wieden & Kennedy, Ogilvy & Mather, davidandgoliath, and Leo Burnett.
